Maggie Scroggins

Mrs. Maggie Mae Backe Scroggins, 73, of Lignum died on Monday, April 22 at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday at the Lael Baptist Church in Lignum by the Rev. Gordon George and Dr. Bernard LeSueur. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

A native of Culpeper County, she was the wife of the late Shelton Lee Scroggins, from Rappahannock. Mrs. Scroggins was a member of Lael Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Linwood Yowell of Culpeper and a nephew, Alexander L. Coughlin of Lignum, which the Scroggins raised.
