which was sponsored by the Amissville Ruritan Club for students at Rappahannock County Elementary School were: Debbie Grimsley, Carol Atkins, Pamela O’Brien, Ricky Haines, Ronald Parker and Mary Lib Snead.

Rappahannock Elementary
School students made an excellent showing in the poster and essay contest sponsored by the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District. Denise Wingfield was district winner in the 7-9th grade division and received a $25 Savings Bond. Tony Armentrout was second in essay and received $10 while Linda Thornhill was third and was given a $5 prize.
