Boys’ State

The Guidance Department at RCHS announces that Robert J. Brown and Henry B. Wood, both juniors at RCHS, have been selected to attend Boys' State this June in Lynchburg.

Boys’ State is a program that teaches the basic principles of selfgovernment. Instruction is offered by outstanding public officials (state and national, judges, lawyers, educators, state police and many others. It also offers competitive athletic programs, band concerts, political drama, talent programs, a governor’s inauguration and an inaugural parade.

Brown and Wood were nominated by a committee composed of faculty members and were chosen by the RCHS faculty.
