During a public hearing Monday night on the proposed school budget, Bob Chappel, principal of the high school, voiced the opinion of many. His thoughts echoed not only a vast majority of those at the hearing, but also what seems to be a majority throughout the nation.
In the sober manner of one who is witness day in and day out to the problems of teachers, Mr. Chappel rose to ask that teachers be allowed some “financial self-respect.” Toward that end, he urged the county supervisors to approve the proposed budget, which includes salary increases for school faculty.
