Rappahannock County Department of Social Services will close on Friday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. for the day.

• Slaughter Aide To Visit

Representative D. French Slaughter, Jr. will send his District Representative, Jane Clatterbuck, to Rappahannock County on Wednesday, May 8.

According to Clatterbuck’s visitation schedule, she will visit Rappahannock County on the second Wednesday of each month. This is a change from the District Representative’s previous schedule.

Clatterbuck will be glad to talk with constituents who have problems of a Federal nature, such as those with the Social Security Administration, Department of Labor, Veterans Administration, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Internal Revenue Service and office of Personnel Management, with which they need assistance, or who wish to express their opinions on national legislative issues or simply to discuss matters of concern.

She will be at the Courthouse in Washington from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

• Director Wanted

The Rappahannock Players, Inc., a non-profit community theater group located in Washington, is searching for a director for its planned Fall comedy.

The Rappahannock Players over the years have produced a variety of shows including Peter Pan, Wait Until Dark, Rhinoceros and Harvey.
