He has a point. After all, we ask teachers to do nothing less than transmit language and culture to a generation of our children. That task is a mighty one, deserving of an honest day’s compensation.
If teachers are to be model citizens, as they certainly should be, then let’s ensure them a decent living. We can start by paying them a decent wage.
