James Agee’s autobiographical novel, A Death in the Family, the final book in the Rappahannock Library’s spring discussion series, will be explored on Monday evening, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. A Death in the Family is the story of the impact a fater’s sudden death ina car accident has on a family-his devoutly Catholic wife, Mary, his six-year-old son, Rufus, his threeyear-old daughter, Catherine, and various members of Mary’s family. The novel is based on Agee’s own childhood experience when his father died in a car crash.
