Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Corbin, formerly of Boston, now residents of Elkwood anil who were married in Rappahannock County by the late Rev. Warren Corbin on March 27, 1927, were given a surprise party on March 31 in honor of their 58th anniversary at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Meier in Elkwood. The Corbins have six daughters; one son; 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Many of the family members were unable to be present, but those who did attend were Mrs. Savilla Thomas of Parksville, Md., Mr. and Mrs. James Kelchner and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Light, Douglas and Jessica, all of Winchester, Mrs. Shirlev Racev, Katie and Cliff, Mr. and Mrs.W.B. Corbin, Jr., David and Shari, all of Rapidan, Mrs. Caroline Mason, Mrs. Danny Sawyer and son, Shawn, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Jenkins and daughters, Mandy and Missy and Mrs. Daniel Kelchner and Angela, all of Culpeper, Todd Meier and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Meier, Jr. and children, Teresa and Jeffery, all of Elkwood.

Mark, Jason, Patricia and Jonathan Butler spent last weekend with their grandmother, Mrs. Roy Reeve in Sperryville.
