Mrs. Lucy May Jenkins, 74, of Culpeper, died on Saturday, April 27 at her residence.
A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Peyton arid Laura Dodson Jenkins. She was the widow of Lee Hudson Jenkins.
Survivors include a son, Robert Lee Jenkins of Culpeper; a daughter, Miss Lourena May Jenkins of Culpeper; three brothers, John Edward Jenkins of Washington, Ashby M. Jenkins of Front Royal and Jake Jenkins of Berryville and three sisters, Mamie Rutherford of Sperryville, Anna Welch of Manassas and Ella Burke of Catlett.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Culpeper Assembly of God Church by the Rev. William C. Smith. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery at Culpeper.
Pallbearers were John Miller, James Bailey, Jerry Hoyt, J.T. Williamson, Leroy Nicholson, William Jenkins, Bobby Burke and Eugene Ryder.
Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
