the Health Department’s standards are one and a half times the needed septic capacity, and the town requires two drainfields, then almost all of a half-acre lot will be absorbed by drainfields, leaving only a few hundred square feet for a building, he said, Mr. Reynolds had reported the Health Department’s suggestion that the town require drainfields large enough for three-bedroom houses.
