against Central of Woodstock April 10, the softball team ran up a 13-1 second-inning lead before letting up and watching Central come storming back. A 21-9 advantage in hitting was enough, 'however, and Rappahannock came away with their eighth win of the year, 20-14.
Boddie went 5-for-5, Freeman was 4-for-5 and Leah Marlett was 3for-4.
Rounding out the week was a 148 win at home against second-place Strasburg Monday for sole possession of first place.
