WSA examines
investments
The Water and Sewer Authority met April 9 for a brief business meeting. The only item on the agenda was the status of $60,000 in certificates of deposits now held by the WSA.
WSA chairman Jimmy Swindler looked into investing the fimds in the Local Government Investment Pool, but the consensus of the authority members was not to use the LGIP because it is not insured. The money, which is the WSA’s plant replacement fund, is now in a bank savings account because the return on CDs is so low.
Next month the WSA will discuss the 1992-93 budget.
