The boy apparently ignored a stop sign at the Route 729- Route 642 intersection and lost control, running off the left shoulder, into some mailboxes and coming to a stop on his side.
Trooper G.T. Settle charged him with reckless driving.
The Nissan was destroyed.
• Danny Huff, 19, of Chester Gap was charged with following too closely after rear-ending a 1983 Renault on U.S. 211, three-tenths of a mile west of Route 622, at 9 a.m. April 12, said Sgt. Morris.
Huff was operating a 1988 Chevy pickup when he hit the car, driven by a 17-year-old Flint Hill girl, in the rear. She had been slowing for traffic, said Sgt. Morris.
Trooper Settle placed charges.
Damage to the pickup was estimated at $1,500; to the Renault, $1,000.
• Wendie Dee Morrison, 20, of Chester Gap, pleaded guilty to two counts of forgery and two counts of making a false application to the Department of Social Services in Rappahannock Circuit Court April 2.
Judge W. Shore Robertson ordered a pre-sentence report, to be returned June 18.
• George Robert Embrey, 36, of Amissville, pleaded no contest to perjury during a March 25 hearing in Rappahannock Circuit Court.
Embrey lied during a DUI hearing in May 1991, according to court records. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered by Judge Robertson.
