Bobby and Christine Beathard both won their divisions, and not long afterward they shipped out for San Diego.
Mr. Reynolds, for the 9th time, won the Eva Smith, and Nina Stamer repeated in her category.
In 1990 it was Reynolds and Stamer winning the Eva Smith again, and overall Clint Kiser topped the 249-runner field, Lynn Patterson winning the women’s division.
Last year Mr. Reynolds bowed out of the running, and RCHS track star Matt Eidson won the men’s Eva Smith. Merrill Strange, after winning the Eva Smith in 1981, came back to take it again in 1991. Greg Langer of Falls Church was the overall champ (36:03), and Terry Sweitzer won her second women’s title (40:36).
