The monthly meeting of the Mothering Cooperative will be held on Thursday, April 16 at Rappahannock Park. In case of rain the group will meet at Trinity Episcopal Church. A pot luck lunch will be held at 11:30 and beginning at 12:30 Laurie Marshall will speak to the group on “How to sketch your child.” She’s convinced that even those of us who say we can’t draw will be surprised at how easy her steps lead us to good results. Bring a . 2 pencil. Paper will be provided.
RAWL bake sale
Rappahannock Animal Welfare League will have a bake sale from 7 to 12 noon at Rappahannock Farmers Coop and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sperryville Emporium on Saturday, April 18. If you would like to donate a baked item or make a donation, please call 937-3283 during the day or 675-3790 after 6 p.m.
RAWL will have their regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21 at the courthouse in Washington. The public is invited.
Free seminar
A free seminar, Important Issues of Today, will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22 at Culpeper County Rescue Squad Building. There will be a representative from a lawyer’s office, Social Security, Social Services and an insurance agent available to answer any questions. The seminar is sponsored by Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper and is open to the public.
Bingo at Castleton
The Castleton Volunteer Fire Department will offer a $1,000 jackpot on April 25. Early bird starts at 7 p.m. and regular bingo begins at 7:30 p.m. For more information call 937-5292.
