find several cans of unopened sodas and beer, which I have my own way of recycling). I recommend wearing work gloves for the messy litter and boots so that aluminum cans can be flattened easily. I also recommend trash picking on a sunny day—sunshine reflects off the cans and bottles making them more visible. By the way, on our stretch of road the preferred soft drinks are Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew. The preferred beers are Milwaukee’s Best and Bud (I prefer Pepsi and Miller Genuine Draft in case anyone is leaving unopened drinks in the future).
Hopefully more people will learn to love and appreciate this special place and litter less. In the meantime, those of us who care will just have to enjoy nature carrying a trash bag.
