Virginia’s legislators went back to Richmond April 15 to act on Gov. L. Douglas Wilder’s amendments to bills passed during the General Assembly session that ended March 7.
Lawmakers predicted last week that Gov. Wilder's more controversial amendments will be accepted by the Assembly during the one-day veto session. Gov. Wilder amended 82 of the 916 bills passed this year and vetoed 14 bills.
