• Heard a presentation by lighting manufacturer Hadco of Littleton, Penn., which gave the council several options for town streetlighting. At the end of the presentation, the town, by apparent consensus, selected one version for the company to take to Potomac Edison. When the power company examines it, the manufacturer will be able to provide the town with an estimate of cost.
Later that evening, after Hadco’s representatives and most members of the Lighting Committee had gone, committee member Charlie Eldred read from a prepared statement outlining his opposition to the manner in which the Hadco proposal had been forwarded.
