George Carpenter
George E. Carpenter, 75, of Winchester, died Friday, April 10 at his residence.
Mr. Carpenter was bom May 25j 1916 at Brightwood, the son of Heber and Berta Alice Hale Car-1
penter. He was married to Betty!) Dodson on Aug. 21, 1947 in Rich-|/ mond.
He was retired from the Seal Exterminating Company and he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. •
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Joyce E. Foster of Beaver Dam, Va. and Judy A. Stringfellow of Washington; one son, Gary A. Carpenter of Stephens City; a sister, Eunice Carpenter of Brightwood; a brother, William J. Carpenter of Warrenton and two grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted Monday, April 13 at the Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Warren E. Boling officiating. Burial was in the
