lne Amissvuie Fire Department’s annual craft show is set for this weekend, Oct. 24 and 25 on U.S. 211,11 miles west of Warrenton.
The entire village will be cele-* brating Amissville’s 182nd birthday. Businesses will be offering discounts and live entertainment as well during Amis8ville Days.
On Saturday and Sunday in the fire hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 12 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Some will include face painting, dried flower arrangements, painted saws, decorated wedding and photograph albums, wood crafts, Italian sausage, funnel cakes, and of course food and drinks.
WKCW 1420 AM will broadcast live on the carnival grounds from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Featured will be B.J. the D.J. and Dick Pierson.
Live entertainment begins at the fire hall on Saturday at 1 p.m. with “Lancelot and the Outtahand Band.” Featured are Lance Albaugh, lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Sam Henze, lead guitar and vocals; Kevin Culbertson, drums; Carol Helmick, vocals; Eddie Holler, keyboards and Tim Brown, bass. They are a rock and ’50s band.
