Your car is a big investment — often it is the second biggest investment that you make, after purchasing a home or property.
“Often, people don’t realize that it’s less expensive to protect and maintain a car than it is to pay for expensive repairs later,” said Dale Edwards, a partner of the family-owned Chick’s Services, Inc., located at 338 Broadview Ave. in Warrenton.
Chick’s Services offers Amoco gasoline, and all types of auto repair by ASE certified mechanics. “Our mechanics are constantly in class to upgrade their skills. Technology is changing so much,” said Edwards.
One new area that Edwards plans to get into for 1993 is “drive-ability.”
The newer cars are computerized, and require more diagnostic and technical testing to indicate what repairs are needed.
Also new for 1993 is an increased effort to provide general preventive maintenance that will extend the life of the car engine.
To do this, Edwards encourages people to bring in their car’s maintenance book to determine an affordable plan to keep on top of preventive care and maintenance services.
