Haunted house in Amissville
The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) will hold a haunted house on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30 and 31 at the Digges' barn in Amissville, follow signs from U.S. 211. Activities beginning at 6 p.m. will include the haunted house $2.50; haunted hay ride $1, hot dogs, hot chocolate and cider. CCWHY teen dance
Rappahannock teenagers attending Rappahannock High School are invited to a halloween dance at the Washington fire hall from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. Admission is $2 per person. Costumes are required. Refreshments will be served and prizes will be awarded.
Developmental screening
Rappahannock Public School system is sponsoring a free developmental screening in children birth to five years of age from 1-3 p.m. Monday-Friday during the month of October.
Children will be checked for development in speech and language, general development, social and vision. This screening is not designed to determine if a child is ready for kindergarten. For more information please call 987-8259.
Haunted house planned
The Flint Hill Fire and Rescue Squad Company will hold its third annual haunted house from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. There is no admission charge and the public is invited.
