ON DIRECT ELECTION OF SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS BY THE VOTERS
Notice is hereby given that a sufficient number of qualified voters of Rappahannock County, Virginia have signed a Petition for Referendum as required by Section 22.1-57.2 of the 1950Code of Virginia and that the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County has ORDERED that on the 3rd day of November, 1992, the regular election officials of Ruppahannock County, Virginia will open the polls and take the sense of the qualified voters of Rappahannock County on the question of whether the present method of selection of the members of the Rappahannock County School Board should be changed from appointment by the governing body to direct election by the voters.
