Safety-Kleen recovers, recycles or rerefines participants’ used motor oil, antifreeze, lacquer thinner and parts cleaning solvents.

It also processes used oil filters, floor absorbents, waste paint and other contaminated fluids generated during repair, and blends them into supplemental fuel burned in cement kilns.

“Improper disposal of automotive fluids has done immense damage to our nation’s water supply,” noted Bob San Julian, marketing manager for automotive services at Safety-Kleen, “But by recycling these fluids, a hazadous waste actually becomes a valuable asset rather than a disposal problem with environmental implications.”
