It’s now mid-October, and we are nearing election day. The choice really will be between two men, President Bush (who was a businessman) or Gov. Clinton (who has never held a productive private sector job in his 45 years). President Bush understands what it is to have to pay taxes, make payroll, to do what he has to do to keep key employees, and take chances for his and his employees’ financial futures. This includes selling some assets and taking out business loans, if need be.
Mr. Clinton’s proposals will hurt a lot of small businesses in this county and throughout the rest of the country. His “7 percent play or pay” health insurance tax will only hurt small business and cost jobs, the greatest benefit a worker has!
President Bush wants to allow the self-employed a larger deduction of the health insurance costs from their gross profits and malpractice reforms to get the cost of insurance down for the facility or practitioner. These are just a couple of examples, but the President has too many to list here in this space.
