Homecoming game, dance The Rappahannock County High School chapter of the National Honor Society will be sponsoring its annual homecoming soccer game on Saturday, Oct. 24. The game will begin at£ p.m. at the Rappahannock High School soccer field. Half-time will include the crowning of the King and Queen of the festivities. A semi-formal Homecoming dance will be held at Rappahannock High School from 8 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 24.
Citrus fruit sale Rappahannock High School band and chorus and Rappahannock Elementary School seventh graders are sponsoring a fruit sale. They will be selling red grapefruit large $20, small $12; navel oranges large $22, small $13 and juice oranges large $20, small $12. Orders will be taken until Nov. 30. Payment must accompany each order. CGVFD halloween party The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a halloween party from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30 at the fire hall. Prizes for best costumes, games and refreshments will be served.
SHARE delivery day The October delivery day for SHARE is 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Washington Baptist Church. All participants should pick up their groceries at this time. A donation of not more than $1 will be appreciated on Delivery Day to defer fjie cost of gas for the two men who drive each month to pick up the groceries. Participants should also bring their community service vouchers and $13 in cash or food stamps to sign up for November.
