"The focal point of the program is exhaust emissions," she said, “and one out of five failed that test. Nearly a quarter (24 |K*rcent) had below-standard fluid level or condition (motor oil, automatic transmission, brake fluid).”
"Median age of vehicles was r>.(» years. The program enjoys increasing consumer acceptance,” she reports. “Forty poreent of the people whose cars needed maintenance had the work done as a result of the program. Next year we plan to add up to 10 more cities to our current list of 20.”
