Ada Burke

Mrs. Ada Settle Burke, 66, of Woodville, died Wednesday, Oct. 14 at University of Virginia Hospital.

A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Maggie Grimsley Grigsby. She was a member of Woodville Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Aileen Company.

She is survived by a son, William R. Bayne of Culpeper, a daughter, Edna M. Woodward of Castleton; three brothers, Hugh P. Grigsby of Culpeper, K.P. Grigsby of Woodville and Alvin Grigsby of Castleton; a sister, Louise Faulkner of Castleton; six grandchildren and two-great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 17 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. John S. Farrar and the Rev. Tony Martin officiating. Interment was in Woodville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were H.B. Wood, Tom L. Thornhill, James Falls, Richard Burke, James Magee and Franklin Hitt.
