Around the village, Jean and Nelson Burner are proud to announce the birth of their first grandchild. Little Corey Michael arrived on Sept. 28 weighing eight pounds and Pine ounces. His proud parents are Faye and Michael Davis of Mechanicsville. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Davis of Warrenton. Great-maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Hackley of Amissville.

The 4-H cookbook has finally arrived from the printer.
Rappahannock County 4-H’ers and several dedicated volunteers and parents have just published a cookbook of apple recipes entitled “Apples - Rappahannock Style.” The proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will support the Rappahannock 4-H’ers who have been selected to participate in the 4-H LABO Exchange Program to Japan in the summer of 1993.
