Two new math courses will be offered this year. One section of Math 8 will be offered as a lab course. Math teacher Janet Long and home economics teacher Linda Robinson will be team teaching this class. The students will use both teachers’ classrooms. The class is intended to give students practical experience in applying mathematics to real-world situations. Another new math ' class will be problem solving using computers the first semester and probability and statistics the second. Taught in the computer lab, the students will be exposed again to realw orld mathematics problems and expected to use computers to solve them.
