The Rappahannock County 4-H Clubs are getting orgainzed for the 1993-94 year at their Sept, meetings. The 4-H Clubs are an educational orgainzation for youth ages 9 to 19.
Each chib meets monthly for an educational program or workshop or field trip on the project they are studying. They also have a business meeting to learn parliamentary procedure and plan community service projects.
The 4-H Cloverbud Club is for Children pre-4-H age that ranges ' from ages 6-8.
“We currently have two commuhity clubs, 2 projects clubs, 1 cloverbud club and 1 country-side teen club,” stated Scott Cunningham, Extension Agent. “We would like to have more. We need a parent or adult who is willing to be the adult leader and work with the Extension Office in order to orgainze a new club,” he continued.
If you have children who are interested in joining 4-H or if you are an adult who likes to work with children, please call the Extension Office at 675-3619 to discuss to opportunities.

4-H Teen Club: 7 p.m. Sept. 13 at Extension Office. Plans are to elect officers and plan programs for this year. This is for teens ages 13 and over. Leaders are Kim and Kenner Love, 675-1330.
4-H Livestock Club: 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at Extension Office. Plans are to elect officers and get organized for this year. Leaders are Toni and Randall Updike, 675-3747.
Slate Mills 4-H Club: 7 p.m. Sept. 20 at the home of Karen Ramey. This club is for boys and girls 8 to 12 years old. They will study the wildlife project this year. Leader is Karen Ramey, 547-2010.

Dominion Wine Cellars would like to extend an invitation for the ‘crushing of their Riesling grapes, from 1-5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9.
