Even though the school year didn’t start last week, high school cftaches were pleased to report success from their summer practice. The cross country team had a scrimmage with Culpeper at the new RCHS course on the Bleu Rock Inn property last Wednesday and won handily 23 to 32. Jason Waters finished first with a time of 16:55; Mike (Trimsley was second at 17:09, and Mark Jenkins finished third at 17:47. Mike Wolfe came in seventh with a time of 19:18, and Johnthan Heddleston came in 10th with a time of 30:16. Nathan Flincham came in 17th with a time of 23:59. The first fit e finishers for the team count. ' “Rappahannock looks strong,” Geach David van de Graaff said. “I look for a very successful year.” The tt*&m will take part in the Radford University invitational meet this Saturday.
