Clinton Herschel Donovan, a man of many faces a man of many names. From an orphaned childhood on his own, through an extended career and three wars in the military, he chose to settle and live in these hills.
His mind sharp as a tack, he was able to recite po^ms and stories from memory, never forgetting a joke or a face. In earlier times, before arthritis set into his hands he could beat the pants off almost all comers in pool or playing cards, like a magician pulling tricks all the while. More than a match for gardening he transformed acreage into producing gardens with the best canned foods I’ve ever had. Not being content to raise enough for himself he would supply many with his canned foods all year long.
