The marriage of Miss Ann Deirdre Salmon, daughter of Lt. Colonel USMC (Ret.) and Mrs. Christopher Bur Salmon of Flint Hill to Mr. Timothy John Hays, son of Lt. Colonel USAF (Ret.) and Mrs. Philip Vern Hays of Sterling took place on June 19 at the home of the bride.
The Rev. Jennings W. Hobson III, rector of the Trinity Episcopal Cnurch, Washington officiated.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white brocade with matching bow veil. She carried a bouquet of mixed garden flowers.
Maid of honor was Miss Tracey Michelle Sutphin of Flint Hill.
Bridesmaids were Tamara Jo Hays of Falls Church, sister of the groom, Mrs. David Bruce Fisher of Blacksburg, cousin of the bride, and Carrie Hughes Martin of Flint Hill.
Attendants were dressed in assorted floral dresses and carried matching bouquets.
Mr. Ray B. Tollison of Washington, D.C. w^as best man.
Ushers were Mr. Stuart Christopher Salmon of Blacksburg and Mr. Timothy Bur Salmon of Flint Hill, brothers of the bride, and Mr. Michael Jeffers of Blacksburg.
The flower girl. Miss Sara Boggess, formerly of Sperryville, cousin of the bride, wore a white dress and carried a basket of rose petals.
Devin Tillett of Manteo, N.C. cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
The music was provided by Mr. James Wood.
