Meets with staff, users, and bendors, and develops and provides CADD training. Knowledge of Information Systems Concepts and UNIX operating systems, MS DOS, and VAX. Reviews bridge design plans; schedules and monitors design projects; and assists in the construction of projects, including representing VDOT at field inspections, preconstruction meetings, and job sites. Supervises design teams and trains new employees; maintains project records; and assists with the Safety Inspection Program.
