a hot summer day, when melons and fresh mint are readily obtainable..

Preparation tip: If fresh figs are not available, substitute dried oned.

1 1/2 cups plain nonfat or low-fat yogurt

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoons fresh lime juice

8 fresh figs, quartered (32 pieces)

1 small honeydew melon, peeled, seeded, and sliced into bite-sized pieces

4 teaspoons chopped fresh miiht leaves

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or peacans

1. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, honey, and lime juice. Cover the bowl, and chill the dressing until serving time.

2. Place 8 fig quarters in a circle in the center of each of 4 individual plates. Arrange the melon pieces around the figs.

3. Before serving the salad, spoon the yogurt dressing over the fruit. Sprinkle each plate with a mint and the walnuts or pecans.
