Finally, it is worth remembering that, again and again Rappahannock’s ordinance cites agriculture's its main prop to justify its unusuajly restrictive zoning and lot size requirements. Could it not be viewed as hypocritical to adopt a provision hostile to farming and possibly hurtful to farmers? Might not the court say, “You cannot haye it both wajs, Rappahannock. ”?
