Rifaat said she believes more people would have attended the open house had the area not been assaulted by high winds on Monday.
Several Culpeper residents, including local representatives like Supervisor Steve Nixon and Del. Ed Scott, also attended the session.

Conversation slowed about an hour into the open house, with community members and Dominion’s representatives sticking mostly to themselves.
Outside, the Piedmont Environmental Council handed out flyers and neon protest signs. Jeffersonton resident Amy Ressler grabbed two.
“We asked several questions, they failed to provide any information” Ressler said. “When we asked specific questions they pointed us to other people, who pointed us back to other people and they still foiled to answer questions. They simply said they didn’t know the answer to that.”
