Overall, Curry’s findings in the Poes area range from preCivil War homesites such as the Cooksey place, and tell of a far earlier history that includes 1600s Indian projectile points (arrowheads and spear points) and a stone hatchet found by resident Wit Kuncewicz that a Smithsonian scientist dated to 2,500 B.C.

Curry hopes to submit her findings to the State Corporation Commission before Dominion applies for the expanded power line route.
