Route 522 near the Sperryville Cemetery, continues along Main Street and proceeds to the Fire Hall on 211. Music by the Adorations will begin at the Carnival grounds at 8 pm. On Saturday, the final night, the Queen will be crowned and the grand prize drawings will be announced. Be sure to buy lots of tickets because the grand prize is $1,000, second place is $500 and third place is $250.
Most of all your attendance at the Carnival is testimony to your support for all those who volunteer their time and energy all year long to provide high quality services to tire community. Ever wondered what to do with those pesky duckweeds that take over your garden in spring? Find out how to make duckweed butter, roasted dandelion roots and much more at a wonderful workshop offered by Wild foods contain an abundant supply of nutrients readily available and easily assimilated into the body. They also provide some of the wildness of life which connects us bade to our roots. Plant identification will be the focus as we stroll the paths to gather flowers, leaves and roots. We will collect many of the wild medicinal and edible plants from the land. Some of the plants used to create an amazing meal of wild foods will be collected in advance to insure time to prepare and consume the meal.
