April 19: RappFLOW meeting

All are welcome to participate in the regular monthly meeting of RappFLOW at 6:30 p.m. at our Sperryville headquarters. Homeowners along the Thornton River are especially encouraged to join in discussion of the Thornton Re-Leaf program and how we can assist in improving the vegetation along the stream. Other topics include plans for Earth Day, storm water management, rain gardens, update on the county’s Clean Streams program, and the sludge ordinance. April 19: Relay for Life Team

Captains’ meeting

The third meeting for all team captains of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Ufe is Thursday, April 19 at 7 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. Any one thinking about participating as a Team Captain in the Relay is invited as well. This is the lest day for registering your team so that your team’s name will be on the back of the tshirt. Team captains should be prepared to register and also provide their team’s t-shirt sizes by this upcoming meeting. Teams can still register after this date but team names will not be on the t-shirt. Vbu can also volunteer other help. Refreshments wifl be served. The Relay will take place on May 19 and 20 at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. April 20: Spring Shooting Matches

Each Friday through May 18, at 7 p. m., the Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Department located at 593 Castleton View Road, wiH be having their shooting matches. 12-gauge shotguns, no scopes or sleeves. Neat prizes. For more information, phone Joe Fforegory at 540-937-6163.
