The Maazels themselves arrived at the farm several days prior to opening night to pull the performance together in its final stages.
“We house them, feed them, and in the meantime they have a wonderful time putting together this performance,” said Lorin Maazel’s wife and Chateauville Foundation cofounder, German actress Dietlinde Maazel.
“This is incredibly rare for people our age, to be able to work with (Lorin Maazel),” said LaRosa. “When he came, all eyes were on him.”
