Harman to teach

Dr. Joyce Harman of Flint Hill will conduct a saddle fitting clinic April 21 at Copper Hill Farm in Haymarket. Harman will lecture in the morning, covering all types of saddles. Following lunch, she will do hands-on saddle fitting appointments. Details are at (571) 261-3402.

Harman, redux

Holistic vet Dr. Joyce Harman will also lecture at the April 19 Trailblazers meeting, speaking on spring vaccination schedules. The lecture is at Granpa Groovey’s restaurant in Warrenton. Harman will begin speaking at 7:45 p.m. to allow for time for horsemen to also attend the Linda Tellington-Jones booksigning at nearby Horse Country Saddlery.

The Trailblazers’ monthly ride is April 21 at the Phelps Wildlife Management Area near Sumerduck. Rideout is at 12 p.m. Details are at (540) 341-7943.

Ready for polo?

Stadium polo runs every Saturday night June 2 to Sept. 8 at Great Meadow in The Plains. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., with the first of two games to begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $20 per car, $10 per individual.
