April 22: Earth Day on the Thornton
River in Sperryville
Bring the family — or come by yourself—anytime between 11 a.m. and 4 pm for fun, food, friendship, and learning about the critters who live in our river, how to help our water supply and dean streams and ponds with native trees, shrubs and grasses, and more. Kids can plant flowers and sort “critters” and other fun activities. We’ll be down at the Thornton River behind the Old Schooftouse in Sperryville, at the comer of U.S. 211 and Rt. 522. April 22: High School picnic
Students and teachers from the cfasses of 1949 through 1955 are invited to the Rappahannock Park on Sunday, April 22 at 1 pm for a time of fun and reminiscing. Plan to eat around 2 p.m. bring a covered dish beverage and a chair. Each student or teacher may bring their spouse or friend only (due to limited parking). Cardio-kickboxing: Whether you are a beginner or have been doing kickboxing for years, this class is for you. With the guidance of your instructor you wiH enjoy this high energy, non-martial arts exercise class. Along with some oldies but goodies music you wil choose whether you want a low or high impact workout, learn some boxing combinations and cardio dance techniques. April 28: Annual Panther
Band Coffee House
Make plans now to attend the annual RCHS Panther Band Coffee House on Saturday, April 28th. Enjoy a delicious meal of baked ziti, salad and Italian bread, and some of the most amazing musical performers that Rappahannock has to offer, inducing Robert Glasker’s Blues Band (with Anders Drew), Sheriff Larry Sherertz, Dr. Bob Chappell & Bob Shaffer, Trista Sheueriien & Heidi Rechin, the RCHS Jazz Band, Keisa Settle, and many more. The evening will begin at 5:PM at RCES. For the past two years the band has hosted SRO crowds. Dinner is $7.00; the show is $5.00.
