Jean Goodine is the newest vice mayor of the Town of Washington.
Goodine assumes the seat vacated by former Vice Mayor Reinhardt Lynch, who resigned from the position after leaving town in January.
Council Member Claudia Mitchell nominated Goodine for the position at the Town Council’s monthly meeting on April 11. Mayor Eugene Leggett seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved by the remaining Town Council members.
