Horse hospital reopens

Officials at Virginia Tech’s Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center reopened the Leesburg facility following the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ issuance of an offidal release of quarantine on Wednesday.

The hospital was quarantined in February after a horse there came down with symptoms of the deadly Equine Herpesvirus-1, a highly communicable neurological disease.
