happy with the proposed memorial because he had not realized that it is being erected for ALL veterans...not just for those who have served in foreign wars. Jimmy Swindler and the local VFW have taken the lead in designing and fund raising for the memorial, but the VFW is working on behalf of ALL those who have honorably served our country. We look forward to honoring all our veterans on Memorial Day weekend with a special event in Sperryville.
