bluegrass artists The Gfoson Brothers will perform live in a benefit concert at the Rappahannock High School Auditorium on Saturday, May 12, at 7 p.m. Opening for the band will be Virginia’s own Chesham Creek. Net proceeds from the concert will benefit the Rappahannock County School Sports Association (RCSSA) and the Rappahannock Band Boosters. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased in advance by check payable to RAAC for pick up at the door by calling 540675-3193. Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance (RCCA) is hosting the Third Annual Rappahannock Evening View. This event recognizes Rappahannock’s recent conservation easement donors and benefits the Rappahannock County Farmland Preservation Program. This year the event will be held at Montpelier, the home of Roger and Sophie Scruton, and will begin at 6:00 p.m. Silent auction items will be available. Open seating is $125/per person , though sponsorship tables for a party of ten are available for $3,500, $2,500 or $1,500. Contact the RCCA office at 540-987-8268.
