School Spring Auction and Dinner
Wakefield Country Day School Spring Auction and Dinner — Saturday, April 28th - 5:30 p.m. Reception, 7:30 p.m. Dinner. For reservations, please call 540-635-6555, ext. 231. Tickets are $55 per person, and the public is invited. Be sure to bring along your appetite, as well as your checkbook (Visa and Mastercards also welcome!), because the menu and the catalog items this year promise to please both meticulous shoppers and lovers of fine cuisine. Get set to dine on delicious “Santa Fe” fare that includes tamales and beef skewer appetizers, Santa Fe style chicken, grilled polenta, black bean and corn salad, jalapeno com muffins and black pepper scallion cornbread, seasonal vegetables, a wealth of beverages, and a rich assortment of delectable desserts.Tickets are only $55, and proceeds benefit the school’s scholarship program, items to be offered range in value from $10 to over $5,000 and will include: a John Deere Gator (TS, tilt-power, holds 10 cubic ft.); a golf foursome at Fauquier Springs Country Club, canoeing courtesy of Shenandoah River Outfitters; a wide selection of lighting fixtures courtesy of Rexel; artwork; many restaurant gift certificates; and theme baskets such as gardening, pirates and chocolate, to name just a few.
