Conflict workshop slated
Visiting visionary teacher Loret Ulmschneider will teach “Amaze Yourself/' a workshop about a new way to handle conflict and coercion, at the Middle Street Gallery in Washington, Va., 7 p.m. Oct. 24.
Incorporating the use of exercises from the martial art of Aikido, Ms. Ulmschneider will open the door to a different way to view and handle physical and non-physical conflicts.
Cost is $10-$15 sliding scale, no one turned away due to lack of funds.

Ballet comes to Culpeper
The Community Concert Association brings the New York Theatre Ballet to Culpeper High School for one performance only, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19. The ballet company will appear in Donald Mahler's ''Cinderella.''
Only members may attend concert association productions. A few memberships are still available. Dues are $24 for adults and $8 for students through 12th grade. Family rates are also available. Call Dorothy Mank at 987-8248 for more information.
